In this entry, Dr. Burch discusses his day where he watches a football game and spends some time with his wife and friends having a meal with some actors and actresses. This entry is special, in my opinion, because he talks about a different experience. Most of his diary entries are about his medical work or his golf scores. This article, on the other hand, shows another side of him.

I am also drawn to this particular entry because of his relationship to Vanderbilt as it is mentioned in entry. Although Dr. Burch and I are separated by nearly 100 years, we both share the common feeling of enjoying Vanderbilt win a football game, although we did not get too many of those this past season. This article also reminded me of a pasttime that I may not be able to enjoy too much this year due to COVID-19 and its impact on our sports.

The second part of the entry is also interesting because we see how Dr. Burch feels about other activities. He writes that "the actors & actresses behaved exceedingly well," and while he complains about screen artists in his January 15 entry, we can see his multi-faceted opinion about the theater.
